What you'll see

How to get there

The usual access is from the Göreme–Uçhisar road; a viewpoint car park sits on the rim, and a track drops into the valley floor. It is a short taxi or 30-minute walk from Göreme centre.

Best time to walk it

Midday to afternoon, when light reaches the valley floor and the chimneys cast clean shadows. Comfortable in any walking season; the flat ground makes it the easiest of the Göreme valleys.
